About the ESF
The European Securitisation Forum (ESF) is an affiliate of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). The ESF is the securitisation industry’s forum, converting ideas into action to enhance the growth and improve the legal frameworks and practices of securitisation across Europe. Our membership encompasses all aspects of the industry, including issuers, investors, financial intermediaries, rating agencies, legal and accounting firms, trustees, servicers, guarantors, and other market participants.
The ESF offers a unique opportunity for its members to participate meaningfully, with a diverse range of professional colleagues and peers, in shaping the future of securitisation. The three main goals of the ESF are as follows:
1) Consensus. To build consensus within the industry on issues of broad importance to the participants involved;
2) Advocacy. To mount focused efforts to advance the ESF’s substantive positions by interacting with appropriate governmental, regulatory, accounting, legislative and other policy-making bodies at global, pan-European and national level;
3) Education. To inform and educate the securitisation community and related constituencies, and to sponsor substantive, high-quality conferences, workshops and educational programs.
Through participation in one or more ESF committees or working groups, members also have the opportunity to contribute to the various ESF initiatives. ESF members receive information and intelligence on the most significant and pressing issues affecting the European securitisation market, including the latest activities and directions being considered and pursued by legislators, regulators and other policymakers.
Finally, the ESF offers a neutral setting in which relevant information, ideas and knowledge can be shared and exchanged between and among market professionals, with a common interest in promoting further growth, innovation and efficiency for securitisation.
